Why you should attend

Part training and part workshop is designed by CVAA and Barnardo's CAFIS service to help you explore with peers the key themes and challenges involved in direct contact with birth families.

"I got so much out of the training, and meeting the two birth parents was very powerful…two of the most bravest individuals I’ve met! They had such a huge impact on me, and it’s made me even more determined to try my absolute best to reach out to birth families and help as much as I’m able to." - Attendee, February 2020

    • Factors to consider for direct contact,
    • Preparation for direct contact;
    • Risks when undertaking direct contact between adopted and LAC siblings who have contact with adult birth family members;
