Why you should attend

The workshop is designed to help you explore with peers the key themes and challenges involved in supporting transitions.

The day will include discussion of practicalities and planning; impact of the preparation of foster carers; educational and social impact; risks and complications; and creative solutions. This workshop will be held in Bristol where Emma Simpson will be presenting on CCS' approach, with a focus on the relationships within transitions. Emma is the Head Of Adoption of CCS Adoption (including The Centre For Adoption Support and Education).

You will have an opportunity to learn what CCS are doing in terms of a specific aspect of this work, whilst at the same time having the opportunity to identify the situations you find most challenging and work in smaller groups to consider various solutions.

We will also hear from The Fostering Network presenting their new report Not Forgotten: The importance of maintaining relationships with former foster carers and discussing their Keep Connected Principles.

You will be able to network with practitioners from other agencies, share best practice and glean new ideas.

A member of staff will be in touch with attendees one week prior to the event to share a pre-event delegate pack.

Arrive for registration at 10:30 am.

If you have any questions regarding this workshop, please contact our Practice Manager Petra Jodlova.
