4 hours CPD

Adoption practitioners and child's social workers working with Looked After Children (Voluntary Adoption Agencies, Regional Adoption Agencies and Local Authorities) and Independent Professionals.

A deep dive into transitions and change from an Adoptees perspective. This webinar will look at the many different transitions and changes a young person experiences within the education system and the different feelings this can evoke which often lead to the ‘unwanted’ behaviour teachers see.

Participants will hear from Adoptees about what they have found supportive in managing change within school as well as allowing space for participants to reflect and discuss their own experiences of transitions and what we can do to support and enable Adoptees, and other children who’ve experienced loss and trauma, through change.

You will have an opportunity to learn what PAC-UK are doing in terms of a specific aspect of this work, whilst at the same time having the opportunity to identify the situations you find most challenging and work in smaller groups to consider various solutions.

You will be able to network with practitioners from other agencies, share best practice and glean new ideas.

A member of staff will be in touch with attendees one week prior to the event to share a pre-event delegate pack.
