4 hours CPD

For

Adoption practitioners and child's social workers working with Looked After Children (Voluntary Adoption Agencies, Regional Adoption Agencies and Local Authorities) and Independent Professionals.

Why you should attend

The key theme of this webinar is utilising child centered, therapeutic, digital life story tool ARCBOX to remain therapeutically connected throughout Covid.

Details

In many cases life story work is undertaken at the point of permanence and there are varying standards across the services.

The ARCBOX team are now more passionate than ever about providing a means to remain connected and engage with children whilst also providing high quality child centered life story work and an outlet to express and record their feelings therapeutically with the support of a suit of resources available. ARCBOX provides significant people in a child’s life including siblings and birth families, along with a child or young person, being able to contribute to their life story. This means giving children and young people a living chronology of their life story, family history and ultimately a true sense of their identity.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view and explore the functionality of ARCBOX both from a child’s view but also from a professional perspective.

ARCBOX can make this possible by addressing the gaps in current life story work and be part of the solution to ensure that children have the opportunity to contribute to and own a personalised, fun to use, lasting digital record of their life providing a coherent narrative of their life history up to the present day.

In the practice webinar, you will have an opportunity to learn what ARC Adoption are doing in terms of a specific aspect of this work, whilst at the same time having the opportunity to identify the situations you find most challenging and work in smaller groups to consider various solutions.

You will be able to network with practitioners from other agencies, share best practice and glean new ideas.
