4 hours CPD

This workshop is ideally suited to anyone who is responsible for overseeing the work of volunteers or is keen to start up a volunteering programme.

Why you should attend

A dynamic practice workshop designed by CVAA and PACT service to help you explore with peers the key themes and challenges involved in managing volunteers. This interactive workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to share their experience of volunteering, gain new insights and ideas and a shared understanding of what volunteering means.

You will have an opportunity to learn what PACT are doing in terms of a specific aspect of this work, whilst at the same time having the opportunity to identify the situations you find most challenging and work in smaller groups to consider various solutions.

We will consider topics such as:

  • Why do people volunteer and myth busting
  • How PACT use volunteers in their service
  • The recruitment, retention, legal status and supervision of volunteers
  • Tips to help your volunteering scheme be a success

You will be able to network with practitioners from other agencies, share best practice and glean new ideas.

We will hear from Debbie Hardy, Director of HR and Christine Roe, Volunteer Coordinator at PACT.

A member of staff will be in touch with attendees one week prior to the event to share a pre-event delegate pack.

Arrive for registration at 10:30 am.

To keep costs low CVAA ask you to please bring along your own lunch.

If you have any questions regarding this workshop, please contact our Practice Manager Petra Jodlova.
