Do you want to change the world for children?

Join our small, dynamic team providing support to not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK.

CVAA is a membership organisation made up of 29 voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs). VAAs work hard to improve the lives of adopted children and their families across the UK. We provide our members with policy, data, and practice support, represent and advocate for them in national forums, and bring them together to collaborate, network, and learn from one another.

This is a vital post at the heart of the adoption system. Our vision is for adopted children, young people, and adults to lead happy fulfilling lives in loving families supported by a strong voluntary adoption sector, and as Business and Executive Support Officer you will provide efficient and professional support to our members, Trustees, and staff team alike.

You will keep our small but busy office running smoothly and take an active interest in the work of CVAA, our members, and the wider adoption and permanency system. You will support our Trustees and CEO, enabling them to provide strong and effective governance. You will have experience in senior executive support as well as social media and website management, or an interest in developing skills in this area. Your creativity and strong interpersonal skills will ensure that everyone who comes into contact with CVAA receives a warm and efficient response.

About you:

You will be practical, proactive, and well organised, with an interest in learning about the adoption system and the voluntary sector in particular. You will have the confidence to work on your own initiative and deal with people at all levels of seniority. You will be warm, creative, and enthusiastic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and be motivated by achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families.

We are a family-friendly charity – we do not expect you to spend all of your hours in the office, and we are happy to flex the hours that you work to accommodate other responsibilities.
